Prenatal Partner Workshop: Yoga In Childbirth

About the event
This workshop will teach you and your partner various tools and techniques to help you through labor and delivery and includes: * visualizations, meditation, mantras and pranayamas (focused yogic breathing) used to reduce fear and anxiety by promoting relaxation. * gentle yoga asanas and movements with the support of a birthing ball to reduce pain and enhance progress in labor
* Partners will learn hands on techniques including massage, acupressure and counter pressures along with positive affirmations that will help the mama to feel fully supported during labor.
* We will also discuss the stages of labour, hormones involved in labour and the physiology of pain.
Teachers: Nina Zettl (doula, childbirth educator, prenatal yoga teacher) & Amber Rollack (physiotherapist, certified medical acupuncturist)
